"90% of drug addicts smoked Marijuana first. Therefore, smoking Marijuana leads to harder drugs."

Wow! This is really brilliant. Based on that reasoning, 99% of drug addicts attended church before becoming a drug addict. Therefore going to church leads to harder drugs. What else did over 90% of drug addicts do first? Over 90% of drug addicts smoked a cigarette, most still do. They drank alcohol, most still do. How about watched television, voted for a Democrat, had a pet, had sex, owned a bicycle, chewed gum, participated in sports, celebrated Halloween, had a religious experience, took something that didn't belong to them, voted for a Republican, told a lie, wondered if they might be homosexual, or ate too much white sugar. Using the same reasoning, all these activities must also lead to harder drugs.

Seriously. I'm really tired of at least 50% of the people who live on this Earth.

A son asks father to spiral a football over a tree,
to arc it so the ball arrives an instant before the child.

The child dives-tendons extended, heart bucking, hands
opening jaw-like to clutch what descends from the sky:

mother left this morning for the institution.
If the ball hits the ground, she dies.

That December afternoon the boy's mother passed away
sixty-seven times in the first hour.

Each time he grabbed her head from the snow
and ran it back to his father. Promised

to do better. And he did. He ran hard, focused, dove.
He caught mother's skull thirteen times in a row

and she's still not coming home.

"Public body modification can force you to trade one life for another - it's very rare to be able to have it all (but it can happen with effort). Looking like yourself will force you to work much, much harder than people who all look the same. Being free requires a lot more work than being a slave. Running your own business is more effort than working for someone else. Being an actor is more difficult than watching a movie. Cooking a meal is more difficult than buying a cheeseburger at a fast food joint... But, there are still people left in this world who believe that sometimes the difficult - but free - path is the more rewarding. The fundamental question in becoming publicly modified is a question of finding a balance between how free you want to be and how hard you want to work. The more free you are, the more responsibility you have to take for yourself. The more you blend back into the crowd, the less freedom you have, but the 'easier' your life gets. But is it really your life if you're not controlling it?"

"It doesn't matter what meaning a white person gives their own dreadlocks, dreadlocks already come with meanings that do not pertain to, nor belong on, a white person's head."

This is the most ignorant statement I have ever heard in my life. I was under the impression that people did things for their own reasons, and not someone else's. The meaning I give my own dreads are none of your fucking business. K?

And, you know, (to add to the rant, on a slightly different but related subject), I am so tired of racism. And I don't mean white people towards black people. The kind of racism I am tired of is black people (or any other culture) towards white people. I can't stand it how people are so narrow-minded that they think that racism is only one way. The definition of racism is judging someone based purely on their race.

If a white person said "What's up Blackey?" to a black person they would probably be shot. I'm not even kidding. That's something no one puts up with anymore.

But why is it that if a black person said "what's up Whitey?" it is considered funny or just a joke, or whatever it's considered? I find that extremely insulting.

You know, when someone points at me when they are referring to a white person they know, I find it just as insulting as a black person would if I pointed at them when I was referring to Bob Marley.

I'm not defined by my skin color.
And I resent the fact that I have been called "boring" or anything else because I am white.

I guess I can call you an "asshole", not because of your skin color, but because you are one.

the whole site is a giant facepalm.
